In these chapters you'll find detailed documentation on the features available in the Elfsys App.
A hydroponic system combines a set of planting containers, devices such as grow lights, water pumps, air pumps or fans, and reservoirs or other water tanks. There are various types of systems, ranging from DYI DWC systems built from plastic bottles, all the way to farm-scale NFT systems filling entire green houses.
📄️ Grow Templates
Hydroponic plants have different and changing needs at each growth stage. A plan that matches those needs with the right light, nutrients and actionable reminders is vital for successful growing. In Elfsys Grow Cloud such a plan is called a Grow Template.
📄️ Cultivation Modules and Grow Batches
In addition to containers, a system requires certain devices to provide light, distribute water and nutrients, and ensure air circulation and temperature control for the plants. Some devices need to be turned on or off regularly or as needed, for example, grow lights change their daily lighting time based on the plant's grow stage. We call these switchable appliances devices in Elfsys Grow Cloud.
A reservoir contains the water and dissolved nutrients needed for the plants to grow. This nutrient solution is usually circulated to your system's containers by a water pump.
📄️ Smart Power Outlets
A smart power outlet is a power outlet which can be remote-controlled in some fashion. It usually has onboard Wi-Fi functionality which allows it to connect to your home network.
