Nutrients
Our Grow Kit does not include nutrients, and we are not selling any fertilizer in our store yet. Here are the suggested nutrient brands to start:
- Liquid Nutrients;
- Easier to use;
- More expensive;
- Great for beginners;
- A great three-part formula good for all types of plants.
- Solid Nutrients;
- Need to dissolve first;
- A lot cheaper;
- Best for experienced grower who grows non-stop using our system.
You can follow the formula instructions for the ratio of mixing and the targeted final EC level, based on each plant species and its growth cycle stage. Seed
You have the flexibility to choose any seeds for the Elfsys Grow Kit. Our Grow Kit adopts DFT (Deep Flow Technique) hydroponics method, a hybrid of NFT (Nutrient Film Technique) and DWC (Deep Water Culture) methods. It is the most versatile system on the market, designed to grow a wide variety of leafy greens, herbs, and fruiting plants like tomatoes, peppers, strawberries, etc. While most vegetables and fruits can be grown successfully, it is advisable to select dwarf varieties for fruiting plants to effectively manage their size. For slow-growing species like strawberries, we recommend starting from a bare root cutting rather than seeds to increase the overall efficiency.
We are not currently selling seeds or seedlings. We encourage you to experiment with different species and share your experience with the Elfsys community on our Discord channel.
Placement location
If the Grow Kit is not installed properly, it may cause water leaks during use. To prevent issues, we suggest placing the Grow Kit on non-wood floors or in areas where leaks wouldn't cause damage. Refer to our FAQ page to learn more about checking and fixing water leaks.
